In collaboration with Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine, Elyse Perweiler, and Dr. Anita Chopra, Dr. Pacetti participates in the New Jersey Geriatrics Workforce Enhancement Program (NJGWEP) grant project. The purpose of the NJGWEP is to integrate principles of geriatrics and team-based, person-centered care into primary care delivery systems, community-based agencies, long term services/supports (LTSS), focusing on older adults with complex health care and psychosocial needs, and families/caregivers. Interprofessional education is woven throughout all project objectives and creates opportunities for experiential learning in the accelerated nursing program at the Northgate II residential building in Camden, New Jersey. Students visit residents in the building, making both pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic assessments, and present recommendations to an interprofessional team weekly at the Northgate facility.
