Nursing is a deeply rewarding vocation that makes a difference in the lives of patients, families, and communities. The Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden Accelerated Bachelor of Science (ABS) in Nursing program offers a fast-track into the nursing profession for people who hold a bachelor’s or higher degree in a non-nursing major. Our intensive program allows students to complete their degree within 15 months, and students receive the same quality of clinical practice as their counterparts in our traditional Bachelor of Science in Nursing program.
Admission Requirements
Students admitted to the ABS program must meet the following requirements:
- Bachelors degree in any field
- Successful completion of the following prerequisites:
- General Chemistry or Organic Biochemistry or General Chemistry II (4 credits with lab)
- Anatomy and Physiology I & II (8 credits with labs)
- Microbiology (4 credits with lab)
- Statistics (3 credits)
- Human Growth and Development (3 credits)
- Nutrition (3 credits)
- Any Ethics Course (3 credits)
**Effective Fall 2025, Rutgers School of Nursing-Camden requires that Anatomy & Physiology courses are completed within 10 years of enrollment in the program.**
