Rutgers University–Camden nursing students are passionate, focused, and dedicated to making a difference as they explore, imagine, and disrupt nursing stereotypes. Our students become critical thinkers, life-long learners, and socially responsible citizens who advocate for health equity and work to advance the well-being of the patients, families, and communities they will serve.

Our scholars come from a diverse mix of backgrounds and bring many unique qualities and experiences to share with our learning community. Working closely in teams, our students meet –and surpass with success– the academic standards set by Rutgers University and the School of Nursing–Camden. They support each other throughout their academic experience and beyond, forging a lifelong network of friends and professional colleagues.

Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden students have earned a solid reputation for 'doing good and making a difference' through involvement with international, national, and local student nursing organizations. Our students immerse themselves in communities at home and abroad through engaged civic learning – connecting campus resources with the needs of vulnerable people in local neighborhoods and around the world. Students have the opportunity to further their education in countries such as Guatemala, South Africa, and others through the Learning Abroad program.
 

Campus Life

Because of Rutgers University–Camden's proximity to arts, culture, sports, and entertainment, our nursing students enjoy endless opportunities to expand their worldview while having fun both on and off campus. Nursing students may take advantage of a wide variety of campus activities, including NCAA Division III sports, civic, cultural, and scholarly student organizations. Our students have access to some of the best internships and career-building experiences in the nation.
