Lynn Owen

Lynn Owen, MPA, BS, RN, CSN-NJ, was a New Jersey school nurse in both the Camden City and the Haddon Township School Districts for 21 years and served as the Haddon Township School District's Head Nurse for 14 years. She is the former president of the Camden County School Nurses' Association and a Johnson & Johnson Live for Life Fellow. 

Lynn lectured to community groups and county school organizations on behalf of the Southern NJ Perinatal Cooperative about The Frontline: Psychosocial Assessment of School-Age Children (2001 - 2003). She was also a participant author of the National ALSF School Guide: Supporting Families and Classmates Affected by Cancer, which was published in September 2018. 

In 2017 Classroom Close-up NJ (NJ PBS) profiled Lynn for the "21st Century School Nursing" piece that detailed modern school nurses' challenges. The segment was nominated for an Emmy by the Mid-Atlantic Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. 
Lynn received the NJSSNA Camden County "School Nurses Who Make a Difference Award" in 2018. Her teaching experience includes Rowan University's School Nursing Certification Program, and she is currently a faculty member at Rutgers University- Camden School of Nursing in the School Nurse Certificate Program. She is a proud member of the Medical Reserve Corps - Camden County, and has served as a volunteer vaccinator for both the H1N1 flu and Covid-19 pandemics.
