Mission Statement
The mission of the Interprofessional Practice, Education & Innovation Program (IPEI-Program) at the Rutgers-Camden School of Nursing is to prepare practice-ready Registered Nurses and Advanced Practice Nurses competent in providing safe, evidence-based care to populations across the lifespan. The IPEI-Program faculty and staff facilitate evidence-based simulation experiences in a psychologically safe environment to promote critical thinking, clinical judgement, safety awareness, and competent population-focused care in all four spheres. The mission emphasizes the use of simulation science and interprofessional education to eliminate health disparities in underserved communities at the local, national, and global level by addressing social determinants of health.
Vision Statement
The vision of the Interprofessional Practice, Education & Innovation Program (IPEI-Program) is to offer novel programs and technology-based simulation learning experiences to students, faculty, interprofessional collaborators, and community partners that strengthen community engagement and improve healthcare outcomes in Camden, New Jersey, and beyond.
