Learning Spaces at a Glance

Unveiled in 2017, our 4-story, $62.5 million Nursing and Science Building is a world-class teaching and research facility boasting 100,000sf of cutting-edge learning and discovery space. Conveniently located between campus and Cooper Medical Center in downtown Camden’s “eds-and-meds corridor,” our facilities provide nursing students with unparalleled experiential learning opportunities they can only get with an in-person education at Rutgers–Camden. 
 

SCALE-UP Discovery Classrooms 

These dynamic student-centered active learning environments cater to the diverse needs of a rising generation of health care professionals — with a dedicated Case-Study Room designed for interactive team instruction.

 

Skills Labs, Health Assessment Labs & Conference Rooms  

Equipped with state-of-the-art instructional technology, these spaces are designed to help students expand their knowledge, practice fundamental protocols, and complete assignments to develop the skills and knowledge needed for professional nursing practice.
 

Simulation Lab
 

This 9,200sf cutting-edge clinical simulation space brings textbooks to life for our nursing students. With two floors designed to mirror real-world outpatient, hospital, and home-care settings, the lab provides students with immersive “high-tech, high-touch” preparation time. Practicing on life-like mannequins remotely controlled by faculty, students prepare for experiential learning opportunities at our 125+ local clinical partners.

In addition to a variety of private alcoves and collaborative seating clusters throughout the building, students can gather in this expansive multi-purpose lounge space to study, socialize, or grab a bite to eat.
