Thomas A. Dahan

Thomas A. Dahan, PhD, is Assistant Teaching Professor in the School of Nursing–Camden. He will teach courses in biostatistics, epidemiology, and research. He earned his PhD in Public Affairs from Rutgers in 2019 from Department of Public Policy and Administration at the Graduate School–Camden. He also holds a Master’s of Teaching, Learning and Curriculum from Drexel University. His dissertation research on the community effects of service learning earned the Outstanding Dissertation Award from the International Association of Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement. His research interests include higher education service-learning and civic engagement as well as college student success. Since 2019, he served as the treasurer of the American Educational Research Association’s Special Interest Group for Community Engagement and Experiential Learning. Previously, he was the Chair of the New Jersey Association for Institutional Research from 2017-2018. Prior to joining the faculty of the School of Nursing–Camden, he worked in various roles at Rutgers University–Camden, including civic engagement, student success, and institutional research and data analytics.
