Spanish Immersion for Health Care Professionals
Spanish for the Health Professions
At Rutgers-Camden, we offer an Internal Certificate in Spanish for the Health Professions that prepares our graduates to meet the needs of these patients. Students will acquire language proficiency at the intermediate to advanced levels or beyond as defined by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL) and scored on the computerized Oral Proficiency Interview (OPIc).

Learning Abroad
The Rutgers-Camden Learning Abroad program immerses nursing students and alumni in experiential, 'hands-on' healthcare across international settings. In collaboration with partners across disciplines, students explore courses dedicated to foreign language, population health, and well-being. During the spring semester, students have the opportunity to travel to Guatemala for hands-on learning while providing much needed healthcare in a rural area.
