Tammy Leusner Brown
Biography
Tammy Leusner Brown serves as a Simulation Specialist at Rutgers School of Nursing Camden, where she has been a member of the Simulation Team since September of 2022. She facilitates immersive clinical simulations that strengthen undergraduate nursing students’ clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from Drexel University and holds the Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator (CHSE) credential, reflecting her expertise in simulation-based education.
Tammy brings over 20 years of diverse nursing experience, including 17 years in pediatric nursing, 10 years working with adult patients in an inpatient Progressive Care Unit (PCU) and an outpatient Congestive Heart Failure clinic. Building on this extensive clinical background, she transitioned into simulation education to help prepare future nurses for real-world practice.
She is dedicated to educating kind, competent nurses and fostering compassionate, patient-centered care. She is also an active supporter of the Society for Pediatric Nurses and the Asclepius Snakebite Foundation.
