Dean’s Welcome Back Message
Dr. Marie O'Toole
September 6, 2022
Dear Students,
Welcome to our new students, and welcome back to those of you who are continuing! As some of you may know, as of July 1, I have the honor of serving as your Interim Dean while Dr. Nickitas serves as the Interim Provost. I intend to continue the traditions of excellence and commitment to students that characterize the culture of Rutgers, School of Nursing-Camden, in partnership with the faculty. Regardless of your status as a new student or the length of your break- a few weeks between the end of the summer session or a few months since the end of the spring semester-I hope you come to campus energized and ready for learning.
I welcome you back to campus and look forward to seeing you in the halls and classrooms- and I hope to see many of you at the Inaugural Convocation Ceremony on Thursday, September 8 at 3:30, followed by a Welcome Home Celebration in the Athletic and Recreation Center. I am confident you will be inspired by the words of Chancellor Tillis and our own Dr. Jamille Nagtalon-Ramos’s words of wisdom. I hope that each day of your education, you will master facts with your intellect, skills with your hands, and compassion with your heart. Putting those things together will ensure that you have the knowledge, skills, and attitude to join other Rutgers alumni in providing care to the individuals, families, and communities that you care for and about.
Have a wonderful year!
Dr. Marie O’Toole
