Kay Aquino

Kathryn (Kay) Aquino is a simulation specialist and teaching instructor at Rutgers School of Nursing- Camden.  Kay became a registered nurse in 2009 and has practiced in the progressive care setting, the emergency department, the intensive care setting, and school nursing. Her two passions are teaching and nursing and she began working in nursing education in 2016.  

Kay started at Rutgers School of Nursing in September of 2018. At Rutgers School of Nursing Camden, Kay works in the simulation center as a simulation specialist and is responsible for running simulation experiences for the students.  She became a faculty member in the fall of 2021.  

Kay is a member of the Society for Simulation in Healthcare and has been active in participating in their local conferences.  She received her BSN from Thomas Edison State College and her MSN from Grand Canyon University.  She currently holds a Certified Healthcare Simulation Educator certification.
