Addressing Health Equity and Creating Opportunity for Healthier Communities

Register Now!

On January 31, join our panel of Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden scholars for a discussion addressing health equity and creating opportunity for healthier communities. Learn how nurses engage in "upstream" interventions to advance health where we live, work, learn, and play.

Dr. Bob Atkins, an associate professor with the School of Nursing–Camden and director of the New Jersey Health Initiatives, will moderate the panel from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Meet Dr. Atkins and our nurse experts, and enjoy a light food reception from 5:00-5:30 p.m. in the new Nursing and Science Building at 530 Federal Street, Camden, N.J.

This panel continues a campus-wide conversation around Citizen: An American Lyric, a bold new book by Claudia Rankine that offers a powerful testament to the individual and collective effects of unconscious bias and racism. Everyone who attends this free event will receive a copy of the book.

The Rutgers School of Nursing–Camden and the Rutgers–Camden Center for the Arts are proud co-sponsors of this event.

Please RSVP by January 26. The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required.
