Nursing is a deeply rewarding vocation and a career in nursing offers limitless opportunities – in the U.S. the nursing profession continues to grow much faster than average and Americans have ranked nursing as the most ethical and honest profession for the past 14 years. Nurses work with people of all ages, cultural backgrounds, and lifestyles to help them achieve the highest level of health and to promote wellbeing across the communities they serve. Nurses can practice independently, although they also collaborate with all members of the health care team to provide the care needed by each patient as an individual. Nurses are hands-on health professionals who provide focused and highly personalized care. The field has a wide range of career opportunities, ranging from entry-level practitioner to doctoral-level researcher.
